GetIntoStores vs Amazon KDP

Royalties. KDP's own help pages on 2026-10-28 describe two options: 70% of the list price less VAT and a delivery cost charged by file size, at US$0.15 per megabyte on Amazon.com, in its listed territories, or 35% with no delivery deduction. The 70% option also requires the ebook to be priced at least 20% below any physical edition. On GetIntoStores you keep 90% of a website sale, and file size costs you nothing.

An example. A 5 MB ebook at $9.99 on the 70% option earns about $6.24 after the 75 cent delivery charge; the same price here pays you $8.99. Outside the territories where 70% applies, KDP pays 35%, which is $3.50.

Exclusivity. KDP Select asks for exclusivity in exchange for its promotional tools. GetIntoStores never does, which is exactly why the 45 books in our catalogue could be withdrawn from Select and listed here while staying on Amazon.

What KDP has that GetIntoStores does not: the largest ebook audience anywhere, Kindle devices and Kindle Unlimited, print-on-demand paperbacks and hardcovers, and audiobook distribution.
