Local listings: safety & rules
Local listings are gadgets, real estate, vehicles and used items that people offer near you; verified sellers carry a purple badge. GetIntoStores shows the listing and lets you message the seller in the app. We do not take payment for local items, we do not hold money, and we are not a party to the sale.
Never send money, deposits, gift cards, crypto or bank transfers to a seller before you have seen the item in person. We cannot recover money sent to a seller.
Before you pay anyone, contact us: use Ask us to check this seller on the listing, or email support@getintostores.com. We will look into the seller and reply by email.
Meet in a busy public place, bring someone with you, and check the item before paying. For a vehicle, check the title and history; for property, check ownership and never pay a deposit for a home you have not seen.
Report any listing or message that looks or sounds like fraud. Three separate reports hide a listing until we review it, and sellers who scam lose their account.
Location: posting a listing, and contacting a seller, needs your device location turned on. Each listing shows its approximate area (about 1 km) and how far it is from you; nobody is ever shown an exact address. Meet in a busy public place, many police stations have safe-exchange spots, never at a home address someone sends you.
Comments, reports and blocking: every listing has public comments so buyers can share how a meeting went and warn others. Report any listing, message, comment or person that looks like fraud, block them so they cannot message you, and contact support@getintostores.com before paying anyone. GetIntoStores is not responsible for items, payments, meetings or fraud between users.
