GetIntoStores vs Ko-fi
Fees. Ko-fi's free plan takes nothing from a one-off tip and, as published in October 2026, about 5% of shop, commission and membership sales, with a paid Gold plan that removes Ko-fi's own cut; payment processing is charged on top in both cases. GetIntoStores keeps 10% of a website sale and pays the card processing out of that, with no plan to buy. Confirm Ko-fi's current numbers on its own pricing page.
What each is for. Ko-fi is the easiest place to accept a coffee-sized thank-you and sell the odd file beside it. GetIntoStores is a store and a reader: covers, samples, prices, reviews, a library on every device, and a marketplace that shows your work to people who arrived looking for something to read.
Delivery is the clearest difference. A Ko-fi shop sends a file. Here, a buyer opens a PDF or EPUB in our reader, plays an audiobook or a video course in the app, keeps everything in a library tied to their account, and can still download the file DRM-free.
What Ko-fi has that GetIntoStores does not: one-off tips and donations, commission requests, and a free shop with no commission on a paid plan.
